NASA: Data indicates Earth's ozone layer is on the mend: "Xeni Jardin: Newly released data from NASA and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) studies shows our ozone layer is healing. Snip from NASA announcement:

A team led by Eun-Su Yang of the Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta, analyzed 25 years of independent ozone observations at different altitudes in Earth's stratosphere, which lies between six and 31 miles above the surface. The observations were gathered from balloons, ground-based instruments, NASA and NOAA satellites.

The stratosphere is Earth's second lowest atmospheric layer. It contains approximately 90 percent of all atmospheric ozone. The researchers concluded the Earth's protective ozone layer outside of the polar regions stopped thinning around 1997. Ozone in these areas declined steadily from 1979 to 1997. Barry Carter put together a how to on building your own USB midi keyboard. He used the discontinued (read cheap) AN2131 developer board and a cheap toy keyboard. The keys are rewired with a diode based keyboard matrix that connects easily to the dev board. He rounds out the write up with some source code.

Richard Feynman Video: "When Richard Feynman was in school he would daydream a lot. I remember a story he told in his autobiography about being in a class in school looking at water running from a faucet and thinking about the curve that water makes as the stream gets thinner. First real post/hack.

Ok, i just bought an psx-to-usb controller adapter at that "radio store" that dosen't sell any radio things anymore, and well, it has been a lot of fun (i have been wanting to make one since i saw this: http://www.gamesx.com/controldata/psxcont/psxcont.htm but i would have spent more money in parts).

Anyways, i found this: you can do your own usb controller using only an usb cable and an xbox controller (you could also hack an extension cable if you don't want to break the controller) by only soldering them together and downloading the drivers.
